After the photo shoot, you will receive all the photos in an online gallery for you to choose from. This allows you to view the photos at home at your leisure and tell us which photos you would like. The selection will be professionally edited. You will receive the finished images conveniently by e-mail via a download link.

The way to your friend photoshoot

1. Booking

Book your friend photo shoot online and choose the date yourself. The online booking must be made 24 hours before the appointment.

2. Preparation

What is absolutely advantageous: Come with different outfits to change and try out. Choose clothes that you feel comfortable in and coordinate your look. Should you go to the hairdresser or make-up artist before the photo shoot? This can also be an advantage, but is of course not a must. Would you like professional styling for the friends photo shoot? Let us know when you book, we have a professional make-up artist in the team who will take care of your look.

3. The Shooting

We use the first few minutes of the shoot to chat a little. It's important for us to know a bit about you, what you do, what photos you want to take and what you want to use the photos for. We also discuss the outfits and photo backgrounds and we go into detail about your wishes and ideas for the friends photos. During the shoot, we communicate actively and you receive instructions from us. We take photos of you in different poses and settings so that we have a comprehensive set to choose from.

4. Photo Selection

You can select your photos from the comfort of your own home. After the shoot, we will make your best photos available to you in an online gallery and you simply send us your selection. The selected photos will be professionally edited and enhanced by us.

5. Payment

Payment is made after the photo shoot. Pay in cash or contactless via Maestro Card / Visa / ApplePay. If you are not yet sure how many photos you want, we will be happy to issue you with an invoice after you have selected the photos.

6. Delivery

We usually send the digital friends photos no later than one week after you have selected the photos. You will receive the edited and optimized photos by e-mail as a download link. The photos will be sent to you in high print resolution as JPEG files.

How does a friends photoshoot at Martin Jordan Photography work?

After making an appointment (by email or phone), we will take enough time for the shoot and discuss the photos/motifs/wishes with you, how you imagine the photos and how they suit you. We ask you to think about the pictures in advance of the friend photo shoot. Please don't forget to think about your outfit and coordinate it with your shooting partners if necessary. We use the first few minutes of the shoot to get to know each other a little. As photographers, it's important for us to know a little about you, as we want to capture a lot of emotions, so a good rapport with you is an advantage. Before the shoot, we discuss the outfits and photo backgrounds and we go into detail about your wishes and ideas. Good communication is also important to us during the shoot, so together we try to realize your photo wishes professionally. After the photo shoot, you will receive the selection of the best photos in an online gallery and can view and select your photos from the comfort of your own home. We will make the selected photos available to you digitally via download.

What should we wear to the photo shoot?

It is important that you are yourselves in the photos. So choose outfits that you love and feel comfortable in.
It's important that you coordinate with your friends during the friend photo shoot. The garments should not be too far apart in terms of color, style or contrast. You can also use a common accent color to create additional harmony.
Bring a light and a dark outfit, so that we have many options for different looks even with different canvas backgrounds
Be careful with black outfits. There is basically nothing wrong with black, but large black items of clothing can create too strong a contrast with, for example, a light-colored scalp.
Avoid bright and gaudy colors as well as very shiny clothing.
If we are doing the friend shoot outdoors, it is advisable to pay attention to clothes with monotonous colors, these are easily visible on the irregular background.
Accessories such as hats, necklaces, glasses and scarves can really spice up pictures, so bring lots of these items to the photo shoot!
Think about the purpose of the photos and coordinate your outfit accordingly!

Where does the photo shoot take place?

We have three locations to choose from. We can either do the photo shoot outdoors in a park, in an urban environment in Vienna or we can come to your home (for a small surcharge of €40). You live outside Vienna and want us to take your friend photos for you? No problem, depending on the distance we will make you a suitable offer.

What should we bring to the shoot?

It is important that you come relaxed and in a good mood. The friend photo shoot can be quite strenuous, so please bring something to drink if we are taking photos outdoors. If we are outdoors, please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing.

Will our photos be posted on the Internet?

No! As a matter of principle, we do not publish any pictures on the Internet without my clients' consent. If we are particularly satisfied with the friend photos from the shoot, we will of course ask and show our appreciation.

Can we bring other people to the shoot?

Basically very happy. However, the person should know how long the photo shoot will take. Not everyone is happy to sit in an armchair for up to 4 hours.

I have blemishes on my face, will they be retouched?

Of course! Every photo you choose after the shoot will be professionally retouched. Skin blemishes, scratches, dark circles, etc. are removed or toned down. In addition, the photos are optimized in the image section, the look and with effects.

How do I know which poses to do?

Many people have never done a photo shoot before and naturally don't know which poses are good and come across well in the photos. It's always good to look at some other photos before the shoot to get an idea of what might look good. During the shoot, we will definitely help you to find the right pose.
